ATIXA: SUBVERTING THE LAW THAT SHOULD DEFEND WOMEN:
President Trump restored Title IX to its original intent: protecting women and girls based on biological reality. In just months, he blocked the use of taxpayer funds for gender transitions on children, defunded schools promoting gender ideology, and blocked biological males from competing in girls’ sports. Now, the Department of Education is investigating institutions and states refusing to comply with these policies. However, a powerful organization, the Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA), is quietly influencing institutions to defy federal law by promoting gender ideology in schools.

WHAT IS ATIXA?
The Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA) is a network of over 13,000 Title IX officers, DEI activists, and administrators who embed gender ideology into school policies—especially in higher education and K-12 institutions receiving federal funding. ATIXA tools include training videos, certification courses, a “policy builder” that auto-generates gender-aligned Title IX language, and access to so-called ‘experts’ to write policy. Schools can become members of ATIXA without directly involving parents or the public. This membership allows them to purchase and implement ATIXA materials.

ATIXA pushes gender ideology indoctrination through various resources. Through paid “Curriculum Paths” and exclusive “Community Connections,” they train activists to push gender identity policies in schools. Then, using a member-only job board, ATIXA helps place these activists in Title IX and DEI positions across K–12 and higher education. In some training modules they specifically instruct educators they do not need to tell parents about students’ gender identity or expression.

Schools can buy a 20-minute video titled “Transgender Issues Pertaining to Minors,” which trains staff to affirm student gender identity, and to consider privacy workarounds for students who don’t want to tell their parents that they are transitioning. This is just one of dozens of trainings that ATIXA sells to schools nationwide.

WHO’S BEHIND ATIXA?
ATIXA’s leadership is packed with longtime activists and consultants who push radical gender ideology in schools. ATIXA trains administrators, sells gender-aligned “compliance” materials, and distributes policy templates that suggest work arounds for parental rights.
Proper enforcement of Title IX should be a nonpartisan issue. Unfortunately, Federal Election Commission records show that ATIXA board members exclusively donate to leftist politicians, lawmakers, and groups that back gender transitions for kids.
Just this month, an email listserv obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation revealed that ATIXA members discussed ways to circumvent the Trump Administration’s re-interpretation of Title IX as based on biological sex, rather than the Biden Administration’s interpretation based on ‘gender identity.’ In the discussion, members discussed whether religious exemptions could be exploited to allow schools to continue applying Title IX in accordance with an LGBTQ+ agenda, at the expense of women and girls.

The article confirms ATIXA’s partisan slant. Founder and President Brett Sokolow was found saying that “if you could establish and promulgate a LGBTQ+ church that met the standard…the courts would have to tolerate that church’s beliefs, whatever they are.” Similarly, David Rucker, Deputy Title IX Coordinator for Employees at Pima Community College in Arizona, argued that “The LGBTQ+ community may not be covered under Title IX any longer, but do not forget that there may be other laws that play a role in LGBTQ+ protections…”
Sokolow has dismissed Trump’s Title IX protections, questioning whether students have a legal right to sex-specific bathrooms, dismissed Trump’s Title IX protections, and suggested that schools should shield children from “intolerant parents.” For example, when the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) began prohibiting men from participating in women’s sports, Sokolow posted on an ATIXA email list serve saying “Can I at least have a fantasy that 1,000 schools finally band together and tell the NCAA to shove it?”
