BREAKING: Do No Harm, a watchdog group in the health care space, released a public database this week that highlights the alarming number of gender-related procedures being performed on kids across the country at children’s hospitals. These treatments include surgeries aimed at changing a child’s sex and administering prescriptions such as puberty blockers. The Do No Harm database reveals that nearly 14,000 children underwent some form of gender transition-related treatment between 2019 and 2023. This included 5,747 surgeries and 62,682 prescriptions for hormones and puberty blockers.

WORST OFFENDERS: The database details every hospital in the U.S. that has provided gender interventions to children and ranked the worst offending hospitals. Some of the worst offenders include top institutions like the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Seattle Children’s, and Boston Children’s Hospital, among others.

These numbers are shocking considering the mounting evidence showcasing the dangers of allowing children to go through these irreversible treatments. In fact, many countries across Europe are walking back such guidance. Domestically, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons has backed away from recommending surgical interventions on minors stating there was considerable uncertainty of surgical interventions, and Mayo clinic researchers revealed that these radical procedures on kids (including puberty blockers and surgeries) are not reversible or safe for young children.

Despite the mounting evidence stating kids should not be subjected to these kinds of procedures, hospitals across America continue to put politics and harmful procedures over kids’ wellbeing. The American Academy of Pediatrics even reaffirmed their support for these dangerous treatments for kids. Parents deserve a medical community that is willing to put the safety and health of our kids ahead of activism.
